Woodstock Generation and Tea Party Principles

Do you want to be a cog is something turning? Part of a vast machine with Axlerod, Soros, and Pelosi pulling the levers? If so, vote for Democrats, or don't vote at all. Obama? He's just Big Brother, a symbol of the all powerful state, an image to put on the boob screen. The real Masters are the Progressives, who believe that we need to be directed by them for our own good (and for their profit).

The 60's hippies, Woodstock generation wanted to be free of control. Mistrust of the perceived bonds of moral standards resulted in misdirection of the energies of youth. To gain perceived freedom we threw in with the progressives without knowing who they were, as they had planned. Now the progressives are exposed as the real slave masters. The traditions of society, against which we rebelled, were no more that the workings of the marketplace. For a person to be productive, supporting him or herself and family, a certain degree of self restraint is beneficial. That's all that was asked, along with some preparation for an uncertain future. The progressives seemed to promise freedom from want in a world that is necessarily harsh because of limited resources. The progressives lied by promising what they could never deliver. Once in power, they would not even try to provide for the needs of society, only for themselves.

They have now made a miscalculation by blatantly advancing their 'New World' agenda at breakneck speed. By government fiat, they are openly bending the fabric of our society to their plans. Their 4,000 page laws are the blueprints for vastly powerful government agencies, whose bureaucratic decrees will have the force of law. Not only will economic life be immensely more complicated under their regime, but their laws will turn into criminals anyone who tries to escape those decrees. Who could possibly wish for the establishment of that type of servitude? We have seen it. It has been discuss and it has been tried. Ultimately, with the informed debate of a free press, it has been dismissed as immature foolishness. When attempted, at the point of a gun, it has failed. We must renounce the Progressives and their empty promises.

What does the Tea Party offer instead? Only freedom. We have tried everything else, why not try freedom? Big government may be good or bad, it may be many things, but it is not freedom. Freedom is the only condition that allows economic advancement and that can satisfy the spirit of man.

Wall Street Takeover

My message to the LA Times Editorial blog today regarding the passage by the Senate of the Wall Street Takeover: "Correct, this is not reform in that it does not make things better. It limits competition and creates further barriers to entry. It makes the few favoured firms of Big Finance virtual partners with Big Government (along with Big Pharma, Big Auto, Big Agra, Big Ed, Big Labor, Big Energy, Big Media...). It adds ups to Big Brother. My opinion. - Jean-Baptiste of blogspot"

The bill cannot be stopped by fillibuster now because some loathsome Republican Senator(s) voted for it.

Tea Party vs. Big Government Big Business Progressives

After the latest Senate vote failed to pass the Financial "Reform" bill, one of the Democrat senators stated that big money had won out over the little guy. She and other Democrats were for the "little guy." Nothing could be further from the truth. The progressive plans of those who currently wield povernment power, that is BHO and the Democrat Party, are and always have been very close to big business of all kinds. They need one another. Politicians need the donations, which they can obtain by promises, trickery, bribes, extortion, and black mail. Industries need government to give them favorable treatment over their competitors. Big spenders in government are also some of their best customers.

The so called Progressives are the masters of the big government big business game. Progressives need a lot of power to implement their schemes because they have the biggest schemes, so they need big money support. Usually they will dump their supporters after they serve their purpose. For example, communists use the big unions to obtain power. After communists gain power, workers essentially become slaves.

Now there are dozens of progressive plans gaining support in Congress or waiting on the sidelines. Big Government is pushing bills to support Big Pharma: regulate their natural supplement competitors. Big Agriculture: remove limits and stigma attached to genetic modified food. Big Labor: dozens of ideas, such as the Card Check bill. Big Media: Propaganda directed against competitors ("Net Neutrality"), and maybe eventual bailouts for failing liberal news outlets. Big Medicine: Government Health Care. Big Energy: Cap-and-Trade. Big Finance: "Reform" proposals (which will destroy competition and make the big remaining companies virtual government partners.) Big Education: Bailouts and grants for state education (with plenty of strings attached) to support high teacher unionized salaries and benefits.

The business government bandito business goes on with Democrats and Republicans both. However, the Demos, being bigger spenders, have the most to offer. This is exactly what the Tea Party is about, ending the government business spoil system that is bankrupting the country. Luckily we still have a semi-free press for the most part which is exposing their schemes as quick as they pop up. For example, from what little I know about the recent book, "The Manchurian President," many of the progressive, communist, money, power connections are explored vis-a-vis the Obama phenomenon.

One of Washington State's congressional members seems to be a poster child for a lot of these progressive schemes. Jay Inslee's web site:

Obama Wall Street Prescription: Virtual Ownership

The current economic recession/depression was clearly the result of multifaceted government intervention in and regulation of business. However, BHO is blaming Wall Street, which is always an acceptable scapegoat. Hitler used it, only he called them the Jew bankers. Wall Street of course doesn't seem to have a clue either that they are in a public relations propaganda fight. The bottom line is that BHO will use the concept of 'Wall Street' as an excuse for his next big government coup. Any proposal from the current administration and congress will not be 'consumer protection' as they claim. It will be government control of what is currently private finance. But the country and congress is dumb and numb. We have lost or are on the verge of losing the auto industry, healthcare, mortgage lending, energy, and pretty much all unionized trades (which were mostly gone already) to the control of the all-powerful state. The rest should be easy for the totalitarians.

We are witnessing the fall of capitalism. From there, our rights as a free people will dissolve with hardly a murmur from the serfs. After the first death, there is no other.

When Will Media Take off the Blinders?

As it is hard to find the time to do the searches and research, not to mention the composition, required to write a short post that does justice to a topic, I will again quote at length from a source on the web. (The Wall Street Journal; Best of the Web Today, August 14, 2009):

"The Media and the Haters on the Left Our item yesterday on media coverage of anti-Iraq vs. anti-ObamaCare protests prompted some interesting reader commentary, including this from William White:
The point you make about the media not covering liberal loonies at left-wing protests because such stories would be of dog-bites-man importance has some validity. However, I think you miss two much larger concerns.
First, I do not believe that the existence of left-wing fringe elements at liberal protests is at all common knowledge. Certainly political junkies like us know full well about what really goes on at these rallies. However, I think there is a huge swath of middle America that would be quite startled to get the full picture of liberal protests. I also think that were the media to provide such coverage it would notably alter public opinion on many political topics. (By way of contrast, note how the media cover religion. They almost never cover mainstream religious organizations and activity, but consistently report on religious extremists, and always in a negative light.)
Second, yes, at any political protest you will have elements there shouting, arguing, whatever, that politician so-and-so is a jerk and in bed with special interests and untrustworthy and all that. However, what infuriated me about the antiwar protests when Bush was in office is that the left's level of rhetoric was not just different in degree from what one might commonly see at political rallies but was different in kind. To me, the left became completely unhinged. To regularly brand Bush as Hitler, to regularly refer to the Bush administration as a "regime," to tolerate the not-uncommon calls for Bush's death or assassination reflected a serious change in the nature of political debate in this country. That change was very much a valid news story. In many respects, that change superseded the significance of the war itself. Yet, the media totally and completely ignored and whitewashed the level of lunacy among the left.
Now, maybe I, myself, am an extremist for seeing such an acute liberal bias in the MSM, but, I feel very strongly that the MSM is "at it again." They are working hard to report on fringe conservative protesters as a way to undercut conservative positions when they have regularly ignored the lunacy which exists on the left--and have ignored the size and sway that such extremists hold within the Democratic Party."

The poor job done by the news media in telling us what is really happening is a major cause of most societal problems. If we knew what was going on, we would vote for leaders who proposed solutions to the underlying problems, not to our superficial, though chronic, difficulties. The above quotation and other comments in the cited article demonstrate instances of media reporting based on their own political bias, while ignoring or even concealing obviously relevant evidence that is staring them right in the face. The goals and methods of the left are things that we should know in order to make an informed evaluation of current events. For a long time, the major mass media obviously has wanted us ignorant. Why? That's a good question.

Confess (We Know All Anyway!)

The White House apparently has a website where we can rat-out potential political dissidents. This was reported yesterday by The Great One, His Excellency, Mark Levin. BHO wants us to report any conversations, emails, blog posts, etc. that disseminate information that is not in step with the correct view, that is to say, his view (regarding the congressional health care bill that is, but I am sure that information regarding other dissenters would be appreciated). That way he can set us straight. As a patriotic American, we should all do as he asks. Personally, I need to find this website so I can report myself.
