We are getting a strong dose of socialism along with the expected results: depressed, stagnant economic activity. In addition we are getting increased government spending, borrowing, and printing of money, which is the usual socialist fix to economic stagnation, which as usual, only make the problem worse.


We have riots and wars throughout the Middle East, all of which we should have kept our nose out of, except the Iranian pro-democratic riots, which were the only ones the our government did not support.

Conservatives Loaded for Bear

That is, they are well stocked with hi-caliber ammo and they are fighting back. Their arrow points are sharpened and their quivers are full. They are keeping their powder dry. Conservative storm troopers are hitting the ground running, only stopping to reload or fix bayonets. Yes, that describes the conservative backlash against the liberal accusations that they are inciting violence. The Conservatives are figuratively counterattacking in force, the real conservatives that is. Some Republicans in Congress are apparently already fearful of the leftist media onslaught of misrepresentations following the attempted assassination of an Arizona congresswoman.

The way that the conservative talk show host are fighting back is by presenting the truth and exposing the liberal so called journalists for the party propagandists that they have become. The conservatives are well armed with audio clips of the most vile remarks and reprehensible threats imaginable coming from the leftist radio and TV media figures, such as Keith Oberman, Bill Mar, Joy Bajar, Ed Schultz, and Chris Matthews. (Some of these may not be journalist; I realy don't know who they are but their language was certainly vile. They may be senators from Minnesota for all I know.) They also have clips of liberal politicians openly wishing violence to befall conservatives. Barack Obama is one of those politicians. (e.g. BHO's comment regarding a supporter who will "tear-up Sean Hanity." Metephorically, with argumentation he meant, just as other have spoken metephorically about politics for centuries.)

The liberals are making a big thing over some hunting and shooting metaphors of Sarah Palin with respect to Democrat candidates in the last election. Her metaphorical cross hairs were no more conducive to violence that the Democratic National Committees bulls-eyes on conservatives. On the other hand, liberals are also seen on video decapitating President Bush in effigy. On audio, they are wishing on him, vice president Cheney, and Secretary of Defense von Rumsfeld, all forms of unspeakable horrors.

The conservatives who are on the counterattack are Mark Levin, Michael Savage, Lew Dobbs, Lars Larson, Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham, and many more who I haven't heard yet. Essentially, what is happening is the liberals in congress are being aided and abetted by these dishonest journalist in their attempt to sensor their opponents, that is us, the people. The conservative media, the target of this propaganda are quite effectively fighting back with no other weapon but the truth. Glenn Beck will be joining the fray as well as soon as he gets on the Full Armour of the Lord.

Regarding the proposition that conservative radio talk shows and Fox television said anything that led to the shooting by the deranged individual in Arizona, I have only the remark of Frederick Bastiat:

I do not know how I overlook the blog "atlasshrugs.com." The radio is usually my only source of information, along with the newspaper a little. There isn't enough time in the day for more. However, I see that the above blog has commentary and current news stories. No need to look elsewhere. Pamala, as Atlas Shrugs, also has many fabulous, entertaining You Tubes. She is an unmovable Sarah Palin supporter and a Fearless Protectrix of the State of Israel.

The Electorate not Media Matters

According to Glenn Beck, "Media Matters," a liberal blog, has launched an attack against him and the Fox news organisation. Check the following link to see that he is correct:

This blog has no fundamental disagreement with the issues that Media Matters raises in this article. That is, we agree that they are issues. We differ diametrically in our view of these issues. In fact, what Media Matters accuses Fox of is often exactly what this blog (and the Tea Party conservatives) say that they (and the Statist Progressive Left) are doing. For example, Media Matters says:

"They [Fox] do all of this while continuing their time-honored tradition of tearing down liberal initiatives and politicians with shameless smears, lies, misrepresentations, and fabricated stories..."

So, they are correct that Fox attempts to tear down liberal initiatives. Fox does it by telling the truth about liberals and their initiatives. It is the left, presumably with the endorsement of Media Matters, that uses shameless smears and fabricates stories. Just look at the recent statements from the left regarding conservative women candidates, which have been exposed as farcical fabrications and certainly smears and shameless too. Look at all the lies we were told about the Health Care bill with hardly a peep of objection from the mainstream media.

Media Matters' article also states:

"Right out of the gate, Fox led the charge against the stimulus, eschewing the views of economists to attack deficit spending and rewriting history to attack FDR and the New Deal.
The network was certainly "the voice of the opposition" on health care reform, spewing countless falsehoods about both our broken health care system and the proposals to fix it while promoting disruptions of health care town halls and GOP initiatives to kill reform."

Here again we have clear lines of demarcation. We believe one thing and they believe the opposite. Fox, Sarah Palin's Common Sense Conservatives, The Tea Party, me, and innumerable others did not want so called economic stimuli from government spending, which some economist believe in. We have discussed John Maynard Keynes, Paul Samuelson, and Paul Krugman (a real bearded Marxist), for example. Other economists, such as Milton Friedman and Ludvig von Mises, disagree. They do not so much eschew the opposing statist progressive views as they have study them in depth then refute and reject them. That is true of the views and initiatives of FDR and of BHO.


That Fox and the afore mentioned conservatives oppose the so called health care and wall street reforms is also no secret. [Ed Note: This blog opposes Cap-and-Trade most of all.] In a free society with a free press, the public hears both sides and decides. Media Matters would have us hear only their side. It brings to mind the bible story of David and Bathsheba. When David saw Bathsheba and desired her, even though she was married, the prophet Nathan (I think that's who it was) rebuked him. He compared King David to a rich man with many flocks who sees a poor man and wants his only lamb. The left is supported by many large media outlets, the only comparably strong voice of dissent is Fox. To Media Matters and its masters, that is too many.

William F Buckley observed that the left says they want to hear both sides, but they are shocked to hear that there is another side. We know who the other side is and what it stands for and we do not want it.

Tax and Control

Tax and Control,Tax and Control...who in their right mind could be going along with this stuff? Ronald Reagan knew that lower tax and more freedom is the best option. I thought that most of us agreed. We let our guard down and now the progressives are coming at us from every direction. Progressives, by the way, believe that a vast array of government rules administered by an army of bureaucrats can bring about the optimal social/economic results. There is a fundamental disagreement here between advocates of freedom and advocates of control. I thought that Noam Chomsky and his like were on the ash heap of history but no more. I do not think that any arguments, such as those advanced in the last hundred or so posts on this cite, will ever make a dent in their thinking. All we can do is fight the good fight in the knowledge that truth in the end will prevail.

I have a copy of Ludvig von Mises' book "Bureaucracy." I can't find my copy right now. It is highly recommended reading. The US Senate today fought off the Wall Street take-over bill. Conservatives in Congress must not give in an inch. We need to support good conservative candidates to the best of our ability in order to have a fighting chance.

All We Are Saying Is Give Freedom a Chance

The Tea Partiers, unlike how they are being characterised by the major (lamestream) media, are peaceful. Basically, tea party goers have better things to do than become active in politics. They (and me too) just want to be left alone, both by others and by the government. We are being forced into politics. (Michael Savage makes this point.) I have been called a Nazi by a local politician when I told him that I always vote Republican. He was a Democrat. I was called a racist and sexist by a passing driver just because I had a John McCain bumber sticker. (I plan to paste "Sarah Palin" over half of my bummber sticker that says veterans for McCain.) I have seen violent riots and I have seen violent protesters on television. They were left wing protesters and rioters of course. Everyone knows this. Obama, his Central Committee, his commissars, his lap-dog press, his Obama Squads are obviously trying to deceive the simple minded.

The Tea Parties remind me of non-violent anti-war protests of the 60's and 70's. When and if the tea partiers are confronted by left wing provocateurs, they should sit down and sing "All we are saying is give freedom a chance."

Dream Team 2012

Tonight Billy Cunningham showed himself again to be an uncompromising conservative. He has long been encouraging Sean Hanity to be a candidate for president in 2012. He also proposes Mark Levin as attorney general and himself as Sean's first Supreme Court appointment. The way the Democrats are imploding by implementing their increasingly communistic agenda, a Republican victory of unprecedented scope would be a possibility. To expand on some of Billy's premature ideas, I would add Sarah Palin as vice president. She sounds very good to me, in spite of her recent endorsement of John McCain. It is hoped that will be her last concession to the McCain style Republicans.

Petition to RFK, Jr. RE: Get Some Sense

I received a letter from Robert F Kennedy, Jr. today. I was flattered and thought that maybe he had been reading chickenshitnewworld. However as I read the letter I realized that he certainly didn't learn anything if he had been reading this blog or the linked sites. In fact he started out bad-mouthing Sarah Palin, which I thought was very unbecoming and unimaginative. What he wanted was money, like everyone else. He wanted to help some polar bears who he thought were in danger. I was disappointed. I thought that he and a few of his friends could get together enough cash to help hundreds of polar bears.

Anyway, I did not send any money because of his attitude. Besides not liking Her Excellency, Gov. Palin, he was against drilling for oil. Even though some oil companies want to drill on only a very tiny area of Alaska, he is against it. Because he believes in man made global warming (MMGW), he is against oil altogether. He obviously has been taken in by the Al Gore tricksters, too bad.

I did sign and return the petition that he sent, after making a few corrections. As the nephew of a president of the United States and son of an attorney general, I felt he was due that respect. Hopefully, he will use some common sense and stop being a Democrat. I attach the the petition above. On the envelope, I used the Alaska Statehood 50th anniversary stamp and the 3 cent Lincoln Gettysburg address stamp from the 1960's. ("That government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth")

Robert Reich on Death Panels

Another Obama adviser states that if politicians told the truth to voters one of the items that they would address regarding health care is diminished care for the elderly. So who would decide what is excessive care for an ill elderly? A panel, I would hope. Unfortunately, as I sated before, what they would more likely get is a denial of service from a computer based upon age and diagnosis profile compared to a cost and likely outcome table or algorithm. So Sarah Palin was probably wrong. You won't get a panel only a computer code and a faceless bureaucracy to appeal to. However, for now, it appears that health care/economic adviser to the president, Mr. Reich says you will get less care. The decision may or may not come from a panel, but that is not the point. So Sarah Palin was correct and deserves an apology.

Tonight on Tabath Smiley

The thesis of the guest is that the evangelical movement (christian radical right) tried to take over the federal government but could only manage to take over the Republican Party. What they want is a theocracy to replace the constitution. Every non-believer would be relegated to second class status, if not executed. Tabatha mainly goes along with it all. They have no capacity for self-reflection and so they rally around Sarah Palin. This of course is very bad for the Republican Party so they should choose leaders more like John McCain and not like Sara Palin. Their Nazis plans are based upon the ideas of Lyndon LaRoush and Adolf Hitler. Tabatha only asks for a few more details. Conclusion: the public should see how radical the Republicans really are, they aren't dead they are the Undead Zombies (where have I heard that?) attacking President Obama's great ideas like government healthcare with their defunct ideology. I see two things going on here:

1) Liberals getting books published to counter the 20 or 30 recent best seller conservative books. Don't buy the liberal books yet. You can get them at the Dollar Store in a month or so.

2) As their usual prelude to another attack on our liberties, one of the first steps is to accuse the right of exactly what the left has been doing and is going to try to do some more.

When Will Media Take off the Blinders?

As it is hard to find the time to do the searches and research, not to mention the composition, required to write a short post that does justice to a topic, I will again quote at length from a source on the web. (The Wall Street Journal; Best of the Web Today, August 14, 2009):


"The Media and the Haters on the Left Our item yesterday on media coverage of anti-Iraq vs. anti-ObamaCare protests prompted some interesting reader commentary, including this from William White:
The point you make about the media not covering liberal loonies at left-wing protests because such stories would be of dog-bites-man importance has some validity. However, I think you miss two much larger concerns.
First, I do not believe that the existence of left-wing fringe elements at liberal protests is at all common knowledge. Certainly political junkies like us know full well about what really goes on at these rallies. However, I think there is a huge swath of middle America that would be quite startled to get the full picture of liberal protests. I also think that were the media to provide such coverage it would notably alter public opinion on many political topics. (By way of contrast, note how the media cover religion. They almost never cover mainstream religious organizations and activity, but consistently report on religious extremists, and always in a negative light.)

That change was very much a valid news story. In many respects, that change superseded the significance of the war itself. Yet, the media totally and completely ignored and whitewashed the level of lunacy among the left.
Now, maybe I, myself, am an extremist for seeing such an acute liberal bias in the MSM, but, I feel very strongly that the MSM is "at it again." They are working hard to report on fringe conservative protesters as a way to undercut conservative positions when they have regularly ignored the lunacy which exists on the left--and have ignored the size and sway that such extremists hold within the Democratic Party."

The poor job done by the news media in telling us what is really happening is a major cause of most societal problems. If we knew what was going on, we would vote for leaders who proposed solutions to the underlying problems, not to our superficial, though chronic, difficulties. The above quotation and other comments in the cited article demonstrate instances of media reporting based on their own political bias, while ignoring or even concealing obviously relevant evidence that is staring them right in the face. The goals and methods of the left are things that we should know in order to make an informed evaluation of current events. For a long time, the major mass media obviously has wanted us ignorant. Why? That's a good question.

Why Sarah?

The reason that I opposed the candidate Obama from the start was not for any of the reasons that the media, the democrat propagandists (which is really the same thing), or even the average Democratic voter (including some of my relatives) said that I opposed him. That is, because he was part black, the son of a young white mother seduced by a successful foreign black intellectual, a past dope smoking student radical, a secret Muslim, and the Antichrist. (I may not have these quite right and probably am leaving out a lot, but really, I cannot be bothered with remembering a lot of irrelevant nonsense.) The reason that I opposed him then and now is that he is a socialist. I stated that in a letter to the editor, (which the Seattle PI actually published) in response to an offensive cartoon that they ran alleging the above motives to McCain supporters. I thought that there was evidence, based upon his past affiliations, that he would attempt to destroy the last vestiges of our free market capitalism and I was right.

There is not a lot on which to base ones support of Sarah Palin either but there is enough evidence for hope. With her also, we cannot look to the democrat influenced press for much help defining her important qualities. They are stuck on stupid as usual, as they were with Barack Obama. I do not care about her clothing, her diction, or her family as much as I care about her opinions. I recently did see a web news article that quoted her facebook. She apparently wrote that her political views were: "less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint." When Sarah Palin was chosen by John McCain as his vice presidential running mate, I finally felt some optimism in that dismal time of foreboding catastrophe. So far, I have not been disappointed with Sarah, or with the foreboding. The press and the Democrats (again, I repeat myself) are apparently in agreement that she is a strong and promising force for change, otherwise why would they attack her?
